At Choice, the Student Cultural Exchange Program is looked at as an opportunity to provide a cross-cultural exposure and a global perspective to the students and help develop an extensive International and domestic students exchange network.
The Choice School has been maintaining a relationship with two domestic schools for some time now; namely, The Salwan Public School in New Delhi and The Sanjay Godhawat International School in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Ever since the pandemic struck, we have turned to the virtual platform to connect with each other and keep our relationship going.
In the month of October, Grade 2 students of both the SGIS and The Choice School came together to share a slice of the culture and traditions of their respective States namely Maharashtra and Kerala. The Choice Middle School and Salwan Public School, New Delhi connected with each other on August 16 and October 12, 2021,on the occasion of Onam and Janmashtami respectively and partook of each other’s celebrations. It was a perfect mix of education and culture. Both the schools, put up a potpourri of perfectly choreographed dances, mellifluent songs and a display of some traditions observed during the aforesaid festivals followed by a. discussion by student representatives of both schools on the importance of festivals in India.
