On the occasion of Reading Day celebrations, Ms.Deepthi, co-curricular coordinator of the Foundation Stage, addressed the students on the significance of this day and the necessity to cultivate the habit of reading.
A storytelling session was conducted by the bright sparks of Foundation stage, namely, Vaigha Nair of 2F and Shreya Nair of 1D. Students were also encouraged to bring their story books and read during the class hours throughout the week.
The ambience created in Kinderland spoke all about reading and its importance. Children were introduced to Sri P N Panicker the father of Library Movement.
To encourage children to read books, teachers presented a Malayalam story “A monkey and two cats” during assembly. This was read aloud and a teacher enacted the story.
