KID Glove, KOOTU is an initiative by the Kerala Police along with ISRA (Information Security Research Association) to create consciousness among teachers, parents, and children about cyber safety. KID GLOVE was launched in 2015 as part of the International Information Security and Hacking Conference held annually.

“KOOTU” 2022” Cyber Security Awareness Programme was held on 23rd September in IMA hall, Kaloor and The Choice School teachers and students were among the invitees. Several dignitaries were invited to this programme. It was a one-day workshop and teachers and students from various schools participated in this event.

The programme commenced with the welcome address by Cyberdome Nodal officer, P Prakash. The Guest of the programme was Justice Devan Ramachandran, Judge of Kerala High Court. The inaugural address by the honourable Judge was incredible. In a short time, he rendered various strategies to keep children away from the world of gadgets. As per his standpoint, after Covid 19 these gadgets have become a necessary evil for society.

The Guest of Honour was Smt. Rajni Sekhar Sibal IAS, CEO  Bachpan Bechavo Andolan. She addressed the gathering based on the quote, “You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however. “The meeting session wound up with the vote of appreciation by Smt Nishanthini IPS, DIG of Thiruvanathapuram Range.

Child safety Awareness classes were held in different sessions. Guidelines from “Bodhini” (Initiative of the Rotary Club of Kochi) were instructive. Sessions on Child safety upliftment and Do’s and Don’ts of Technology were truly informative to children, parents, and teachers.

The display of various stalls in this event was the cynosure of all eyes. The most remarkable of all the stalls was the one on “Robotics and Artificial Intelligence”.
